Role Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies.

Job Description:

Responsibility: 

1. Develop and maintain web applications using Angular, Node.js, and the Spring Boot framework. 

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements. 

3. Manage projects effectively, including coordination with external vendors.

4. Troubleshoot and debug production incidents. 

5. Work closely with the team to deliver insurance-related solutions. 

6. Communicate effectively within a geographically diverse team. 


Skills & Experience (Must Have):

1. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, Node.js, and Spring Boot. 

2. Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and Java skills. 

3. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). 

4. Knowledge of or hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and MongoDB. 

5. Ability to speak and read/write emails in Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent). 

6. Knowledge of GitHub and Jenkins (CI/CD). 

Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):
1. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. 

2. Experience in the insurance domain or similar fields is a plus. 

3. Knowledge of Snyk, New Relic, Azure Data Explorer (ADX).

Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:

Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.

Over time:

0-40 hours/month.

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm  (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
