This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring deep product expertise, strong cross-functional leadership, and the ability to operate with high autonomy. The ideal candidate will transform these products from static informational tools into intelligent, adaptive experiences that support ASU's mission of access, flexibility, and lifelong learning.

Salary Range: $94,300.00 - $118,000; DOE

Essential Duties:

  • Prioritize Based on Value and Risk: Establish and lead structured prioritization processes grounded in user impact, institutional value, regulatory requirements, and platform risk. Shift the organization from reactive intake toward intentional, outcome-based decision making.

  • Partner Closely with Engineering and Delivery Teams: Collaborate with engineering leaders to translate product strategy into executable work. Ensure backlog clarity, well-defined acceptance criteria, and alignment between business goals and technical implementation.

  • Measure and Improve Outcomes: Define success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for PeopleSoft initiatives. Monitor platform health, operational performance, and user experience to inform iterative improvements.

  • Drive Platform Modernization Thoughtfully: Identify opportunities for integration, automation, and modernization that enhance institutional agility while preserving governance, compliance, and reliability.

  • Ensure Product Governance and Documentation Discipline: Maintain transparent decision logs, clear documentation, and defined ownership structures to strengthen accountability and institutional trust.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Product Forums: Facilitate structured product reviews, stakeholder alignment sessions, and roadmap updates to ensure visibility, clarity, and shared ownership across functional domains.

  • Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.

  • Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of owning full product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholder groups

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence without authority

  • Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and deliver measurable outcomes

  • Experience managing or modernizing large administrative platforms within large organizations.

  • Familiarity with product governance and outcome-oriented frameworks.

  • Experience with change management, risk mitigation, and operational governance at scale.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical judgment and decision-making capabilities.

  • Highly collaborative with a track record of building effective partnerships across stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to balance tactical operational needs with long-term platform vision.

  • Commitment to ASU’s mission of innovation, access, inclusion, and impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.

  • Experience in a values-driven organization with a strong commitment to inclusion and belonging.

  • Ability to cultivate a psychologically safe environment where all team members can thrive.

  • Capacity to inspire and drive meaningful change in individual, institutional, and corporate behaviors to support a more sustainable environment.

  • Commitment to leading by example through effective communication, active participation, and advocacy for the institution’s sustainability programs.

Working Environment:
