About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of products through the inbound/outbound processing pipeline and working closely with other operational departments throughout the day, as well as liaising with our customer experience teams. The operations team manages our worldwide distribution and is responsible for fulfilling orders and ensuring on-time delivery to buyers.

The ideal candidate will be a driven, organized, entrepreneurial thinker who is comfortable working across a variety of departments. The customer experience team is essential to forging and maintaining lasting relationships with our millions of customers, serving as the primary contact between buyers and sellers.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Receiving inbound shipments from various couriers and prepare orders for shipment by assigning shipping labels and vital packaging.
  • Handling and resolving issues with inventory coming from our Seller to the Authenticator and coordinate with the relevant partners
  • Handling and resolving other operational and technical issues that arise between the Authenticator and eBay
  • Identify overall process improvements & enable efficiencies
  • Investigate missing or wrong information between eBay and our Partner, which is holding up our Partner’s ability to process transactions
  • Research and track shipping issues (e.g. No tracking number/shipping query etc.)
  • Will be responsible for communicating with Buyers and Sellers occasionally, on behalf of the eBay stakeholder to achieve a satisfactory outcome
  • Take ownership of individual customer queries from start to finish, liaising with internal team members to ensure positive outcomes for our customers
  • Maintain a clean work area to help protect merchandise from damage.
  • Flexible and willing to support other areas across the business as they come up

The person we’re looking for:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with google sheets/MS Office
  • Prior experience processing and handling outbound parcel shipments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • We further require a strong bias for action; capable of making great things happen quickly and happy to roll up their sleeves to get things done when needed.
  • A quick learner, self-starter, able to work independently, and willing to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
  • Maintaining a high level of customer focus in many different and complicated situations
  • Passion for handbags, sneakers, technology and helping others succeed
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 25kg
  • Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
