JOB SUMMARY: 

Kemper Scholars Internship Program

Kemper Scholars internships will enable you to broaden your understanding of the business, make valuable connections, and set a course for your professional journey with us. You will work on special projects that positively impact our business and our customers. Kemper is looking for students who love to problem solve and are willing to make real-life impact on projects that may involve the senior executives to front-line associates. We deliver meaningful experiences in various internship areas like Product Development, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT, Data Analytics, and much more. Are you ready to create your own journey by joining ours? This is a 10-week paid internship offering challenging projects that support Kemper’s strategic priorities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences: 

• Assist with basic image editing
• Identify design improvements and adjustments and create changes
• Utilize database to select appropriate images that align with design intent
• Help support various creative projects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

• Junior or Senior status enrolled at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, University of Illinois Chicago, or Dominican University
• Qualifying majors in an academic area related Design/Art or to financial services/insurance industry, such as, finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration.
• Non-business majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry.  
• A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
• This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 2-3 days a week.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
