The Planning Value Stream Leader for Europe is an experienced and visionary leader who leads demand and supply planning across our EMEA region, with a strong focus on value stream management and inventory optimization to deliver OTIF commitments to our customers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our supply chain is agile, resilient, and capable of delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining customer fill rates, cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities:
Demand & Supply Planning Leadership
Lead the end-to-end demand and supply planning process for all European markets, including IBP and S&OE processes.
Collaborate with commercial leaders to adopt market intelligence, sales trends, and promotional activities into robust demand plans.
Align supply plans with manufacturing capacity, supplier capabilities, and logistics constraints to ensure on-time delivery.
Inventory Management & Optimization
Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance service levels, cashflow targets, and cost efficiency.
Monitor inventory health across multiple 3PLs, warehouses and distribution centers, identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
Establish and maintain optimal safety stock levels to mitigate supply risks.
Value Stream Management
Optimize end-to-end lead time and OTIF for European/EMEA customers.
Apply value stream mapping and lean principles to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities in the planning and fulfillment process.
Drive initiatives that enhance supply chain agility, resilience, and responsiveness to market changes.
Ensure seamless integration between demand planning, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution functions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & S&OP
Lead the regional IBP (Integrated Business Planning) , Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operational Excellence (S&OE) process, ensuring alignment between commercial, operational, and financial plans.
Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with business goals.
Facilitate decision-making forums to address supply-demand imbalances and prioritize customer needs.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Define, track, and report on key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and supply reliability.
Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the planning team.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing planning team across multiple locations.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented work environment.
Build organizational capability in demand and supply planning best practices.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in demand planning, supply planning, or value stream leadership, ideally within a multinational manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proven expertise in inventory management principles, ERP/MRP systems, and advanced planning tools.
Demonstrated success in leading S&OP processes and cross-functional supply chain initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is highly desirable.

APS System experience (Advanced Planning Systems: o9, Kinaxis, etc).
