In this rotational program

  • Experience a comprehensive approach to data analytics with rotations through analytics teams supporting functions like operations, marketing, investments, advice during three 8-month assignments. These rotations will draw upon your experiences and interests as well as meet strategic business needs. Refine skills like programming, predictive analytics, data governance, and more. 
  • Participate in crucial, meaningful projects distilling complex data to uncover insights that will be presented to key leadership – influencing strategic decisions that directly affect organizations across Vanguard
  • Smaller cadre sizes which support opportunities for focus on learning, individualized feedback, and close community connections including meeting regularly with your program manager, department manager, assigned buddy, and coaches. Cultivate new relationships in a thriving network of data and analytics professionals.
  • Become a specialist in Vanguard’s unique, mission driven organization through customized development plans

What it takes

  • An undergraduate degree. We look for majors in data and analytics, statistics, math, computer science, as well as those pivoting towards a career path within data and analytics
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to take initiative, collaborate, and also work independently
  • Results-driven and comfortable working with multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong professional presence and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to deliver meticulous results under tight time constraints. Flexibility and strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for data and analytics
  • Strong technical acumen, including data analytical, statistical, storytelling, and coding skills

  • The ideal candidate is a graduating college senior or early career professional
  • Employment is contingent on a successful background check and drug-screening result
