Innovation consultants will experience a variety of projects. Each project experience is designed to fuel your curiosity, build capability, drive meaningful impact, and uncover hidden strengths, and prepare you for the next career level. Consultants learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors to develop a strong understanding of business processes and build technical skills in general risk areas. Consultants compile and analyze data, document findings, and communicate insights that contribute impactfully to client engagements. Through interaction with client and project team personnel, consultants develop professional relationships that are grounded in trust, supporting exceptional client service. A successful consultant manages time and priorities effectively, takes ownership of assignments, and contributes impactfully to collective results.
With each project, you receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with leaders across our practice. Talent Managers will assign specific project experiences that support career growth, your skills, and the needs of the business. A network of advisors will help you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones. There are opportunities to join committees, participate in employee network groups, enjoy social, civic, and networking activities to strengthen connections and build meaningful relationships across our firm and in the community.
Innovation consultants help design, build, test, and deploy technology solutions that improve efficiency across all of Protiviti’s capabilities. They use AI, advanced analytics, and automation tools—such as Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power Platform, MS SQL, Python, and UI Path—to solve business challenges. These consultants apply software development best practices, partner with cross functional teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions and stay current on emerging technologies and certifications. Their work streamlines operations, reduces manual effort, and enhances outcomes across the organization. Consultants contribute to automation initiatives spanning the full lifecycle, including Automation Discovery & Program Establishment, AI & Intelligent Automation Deployment, Automation ‑as‑a‑Service, and SAP S/4HANA Migration Enablement.

The requirements will vary by client, project, team and other business factors. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local or out-of-state travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$70,000.00 - $87,000.00Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.
$2,000The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.
$72,000.00 - $89,000.00Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
