The Senior Manager, Digital Experience Design is responsible for leading, influencing and implementing customer centric design to deliver distinctive, personalised, and meaningful digital experiences for our customers across the Enterprise.

The opportunity:

The Senior Manager, Digital Experience Design is responsible for leading, influencing and implementing customer centric design to deliver distinctive, personalised, and meaningful digital experiences for our customers across the Enterprise.

Lead, maintain, and refine the Australian UX CoE (Centre of Excellence) practice with a goal to establish design as a competitive advantage through design strategy, design methodology, skills, mindset, and best practice for user experience and to influence business decisions that deliver on our Future Fit Strategy

To do this successfully you will:

  • Manage and engage a team of UX and UI professionals embedded in projects and BAU Streams to deliver user experience design aligning to strategic project objectives, ensuring user-centred design principles, considering business and technical requirements, and delivering to a high quality.
  • Embed best practice digital design capabilities in the business through strategies, people, processes, frameworks, tools to deliver impactful and competitive digital experiences that positively influence our customers, our partners, and our digital metrics and overall profitability goals.
  • Advocate and support the Design Governance framework to achieve consistent, accessible and inclusive digital experiences across the enterprise and the Digital Design System.
  • Support Group Insurance programs current and future state to simplify complex journeys into meaningful pitches and tenders.
  • Support Head Digital to drive the development, articulation, and execution of our Digital vision and strategy across the Enterprise to create exceptional digital experiences.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience across leading UX/UI capability across a broad range of projects and channels drive connected scalable user-led outcomes
  • Expert understanding of user experience processes and user experience strategy, DesignOps and/or ResearchOps.
  • Experience in organising, leading, or directing user research using outputs to refine UX, design and product development outcomes.
  • Demonstrable design thinking and journey mapping qualifications and experience
  • Expertise in core digital channels and capabilities and omni channel intersections.
  • Able to lead and influence teams (directly and indirectly) to deliver using customer centric mindsets, methods, templates, and tools in a way that drives sustainable business performance.
  • Proven track record of maintaining partnerships, advocacy and influencing at senior levels in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques and modern digital product development. 
  • Financial services and insurance experience highly desired.
