JOB DESCRIPTION:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to develop supportive relationships with persons who have mental health and/or substance use concerns while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries. Knowledge of behavioral health disorders and recovery. Creates a culture of mutual trust and respect through positive leadership skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License with a safe driving record. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency with computer systems and concurrent documentation.
Preferred Qualification:
Prior supervisory experience in mental health or addictions field. Knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly. Enthusiastic about influencing positive change in our clients’ lives.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Highly motivated, self-directed, and organized. Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with individuals across clinical teams and community agencies. Cultivates a culture of openness and information sharing.
Essential Functions:
1. Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
2. Provides supervision, consultation, and coaching to team members of assigned program(s).
3. Carries a caseload and provides services to clients.
4. Manages day to day operations of program(s) to include clinical documentation, assessments, admissions and discharges, and chart audits.
5. Ensures continuity of care for clients by coordinating with team members, families, Centerstone colleagues, and community partners.
6. Creates an inclusive work environment.
7. Maintains departmental productivity and training expectations.
8. Additional training and/or certification may be required based on specific program guidelines.
9. Completes all other duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position mainly operates in an office setting and will occasionally operate in the community, in settings such as client homes, community agencies, hospital, homeless shelters/camps, jails, or courts depending on program assigned. This position may be subject to exposure to individuals who engage in maladaptive behaviors.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
This is a full time, exempt position (40 hours/week). This position requires flexibility in work hours to include some evening, weekend, and/or on-call hours as needed.
Programs: Centerstone has Clinical Supervisor opportunities in a variety of programs to include working with children, families, and/or adults as well as substance use and/or mental health prevention and intervention programs. Additional program specialties include school-based, forensic, employment, substance use overdose prevention, and homelessness prevention.
