Responsible for providing the guest with an exceptionally enjoyable but safe experience with accordance to the standards set by Loews Hotels. Oversees the operation of three swimming pools which includes service to the guests, cleaning of the pools, cabana service, organization and overall condition of the pools. The Pool Services Supervisor also includes the responsibility for the supervision of a pool bar and quick service restaurant, which ensures efficient operation of the department, staffing, training, scheduling of employees and inventory control.

Job Specific

  • Performs departmental opening and closing duties
  • Monitors and supervises department staff
  • Assists with the scheduling of staff according to established standards and forecasted needs
  • Represents the Restaurant Manager in his/her absence
  • Ensures adherence to departmental and Loews Hotels guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Personally supervises restaurant and kitchen activities to ensure quality production/delivery of product/service
  • Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experience
  • Supervises completion of required set up / preparation, at beginning of shift and clean up restocking at end of shift
  • Inspects all equipment prior to, during and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to the appropriate department
  • Controls the reservations and supervision of the Cabana Rentals and setup
  • Oversees the operation of all three pool areas: Beach/Villa/Hillside
  • Manages the pool programs such as towel issue, retail sales and attendant/concierge programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Two years of experience in Recreation/Lifeguarding
