Job Summary
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks three temporary Pre-College Program Assistants to support Continuing Education's Pre-College program. The Pre-College program offers rising high school juniors and seniors the chance to experience life as a RISD undergrad, while following college-level curriculum with day-long studio classes, critiques and projects. The Pre-College Summer Office will house Program Assistants alongside Graduate Student Engagement Specialists to support the daily operations and support of the student experience outside the classroom.
The Pre-College Program Assistants will understand and address the needs of the Pre-College community and assist with the daily operation and procedures of the Summer Office. It is critical that the persons in this role function with the understanding that attendees are minors; which often requires interactions with parents, campus partners and instructors.
The successful candidate will thrive in a campus environment that is committed to advancing the principles of social equity and inclusion, environmental and climate justice, and equal access to resources and opportunities.
