The Associate Director of Health Services provides clinical leadership and guidance to the Emerson Wellness Center's health services staff while overseeing and implementing operational protocols and clinical activities in alignment with ethical principles and compliance standards. In addition to these responsibilities, the Associate Director maintains a reduced clinical caseload to accommodate organizational duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Provide supervision, clinical leadership, guidance, and direction for the health services staff.
  • Oversee, evaluate, and implement operational protocols and clinical activities in accordance with your licensing association's ethical principles, including current compliance standards for staff licensure and certifications.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload at a reduced and manage the daily operations of the health unit.
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and supervision to staff, including direct supervision of Clinical Coordinator and Advanced Practice Clinicians.
  • Resolve any complex or escalated matters.
  • Monitor existing departmental operational processes, ensuring they are compliant, and resources, including supplies and budget
  • Evaluate existing departmental operations for increased effectiveness and make appropriate process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Create and maintain a referral network with area clinicians, mental health clinics, and hospitals for therapeutic and emergency services.
  • Maintain oversight of higher-risk clients, including crisis intervention, emergency services, and support for residence education staff.
  • Provide oversight of immunization compliance and management regarding communicable disease outbreaks.
  • Involvement in emergency or crisis management procedures.
  • Direct and assume primary responsibility for backup on-call schedule.
  • Synchronize the post-hospitalization process and protocols for students.
  • Manage schedule and record-keeping system for the center.
  • Work collaboratively with internal college stakeholders and students on various complex issues.
  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS – Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to perform the job effectively.

  • A nurse practitioner with a Master’s degree in nursing or a health-related field.
  • Ability to be licensed in Massachusetts and seek a DEA license and MA Controlled Substance registration.
  • 7 years of demonstrated direct clinical experience and/or 3-5 years of progressive management experience.
  • Experience with project management software is required.

  • Significant experience managing projects from conceptual development to execution.
  • Exceptional independent judgment and relationship cultivation expertise.
  • Significant experience identifying, assessing, and reporting key performance indicators.
  • Significant experience with best-in-class project management and reporting tools.
  • Experience with brand development is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of content management and digital asset management systems.

Compensation: $110,500.00 - $138,200.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

Grade of Position: 23-13E
