Job Summary :

To provide highest quality health care services in a professional, competent, courteous and caring manner by assisting the radiologic technologist with producing quality images for diagnostic purposes for interpretation by (or at the request of) a licensed practitioner.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

1.      Assists radiologic technologist with performing diagnostic radiographic procedures.

  • Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  • Prepares patient for procedures; providing instruction to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Practices aseptic techniques as necessary.
  • Initiates basic life support action when necessary.

2.      Assumes responsibility for assigned area and reporting equipment malfunction. This includes appearance and cleanliness of area and restocking of area supplies.

3.      Participates in the department’s quality assessment and improvement plan.

4.      Complies with minimum standards as noted on the cover page of job description.

5.      Use common sense and special medical skills to care for the sick or handicapped with regard to the patient’s age and diagnosis.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Limited computer experience.
