Job Description Summary:

Maintains HomeStreet’s automated security systems which include electronic surveillance and alarm monitoring for all locations. Serves as a secondary point of contact for security system related issues. Specialist in security related equipment and the overall safety and security of HSB locations. This role will handle all service calls, tracking and Security Branch Audits for all locations.

Job Details:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Observe and monitor all camera systems for vital camera checks and functionality
  • Provide support for the Corporate Security Officer regarding administrative duties, new Retail Branch openings, and on site Retail Branch Security Assessments which includes travel and limited supervision.
  • Assist all locations in submitting appropriate security related service calls with vendors
  • Monitor and audit alarm testing and branch emergency contact information
  • Maintain all alarm permits and track alarm responses
  • Conduct annually and semi-annually audits of alarm panel assignments, alarm testing, and Revisor (emergency contact) list
  • Become familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for HomeStreet Corporate Security
  • Track and be responsible for maintenance and scheduling service tickets for all security equipment at HomeStreet
  • Assist at Reception Desk and greet and assist customers and employees in a courteous and professional manner
  • Promote a professional and positive company image.
  • Assist with other projects as directed and assigned by manager and assume additional duties as needed
  • Know and understand our corporate security risk and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3 years’ experience preferably in a professional services and security environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and products with strong or advanced Excel abilities.
  • Enthusiastic attitude with an excellent customer service attitude, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization and time management skills, and a professional presence.
  • Strong ability, desire, and enjoyment in working with others, both employees and customers, in a cooperative, courteous, professional, and friendly manner. 
  • The ability to accept and facilitate change.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and detail oriented.  Must be dependable and accurate in completing responsibilities with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and under extreme pressure and the ability to successfully multi-task.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ask questions, take instructions constructively and be flexible in performing varied tasks.
  • Possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility, and handle confidential information.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must have CCTV and alarm knowledge
  • Ability to travel to HSB locations

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Willing and able to travel occasionally as needed.
  • This position requires operation of a PC and viewing information on a PC monitor. Must be able to sit for many hours each day. Must be able to communicate via telephone and possess dexterity to include filing, reaching and bending.
