Infrastructure Operations Engineer

What you can expect

As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer within a UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) data center. You would be responsible for managing and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports cloud-based communication services, such as voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools.

About the Team

The Infrastructure Operations Engineer will join a highly skilled and dynamic team responsible for supporting global data center operations. This close-knit group of 8 dedicated professionals manages the infrastructure across 60 global data centers that power the services for Zoom worldwide. With a focus on servers, networking, and security, the team ensures the smooth, secure, and efficient functioning of these critical systems. Operating primarily within the IST time zone, they play a pivotal role in maintaining the high availability and reliability of global communication services.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in related field or certificate or degree programs such as Industrial Technology, Computer Electronics and Networking Technology, Information Technology
• Experience in data center colocation operations, network fundamentals and server hardware troubleshooting skills
• Experience with asset management
• Experience in accounting and finance
• Require scripting experience (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PHP, PERL, Ruby, etc.)
• Experience with JIRA ticketing system
• Experience working with Configuration management database (CMDB)
