Role: Microsoft 365 Architect

Are you ready to play a key role in safeguarding patient data and in this role as Microsoft 365 Architect you will be a strategic leader responsible for the enterprise-wide design, governance, and long-term advancement of the Microsoft 365 platform. This role holds ultimate authority over platform architecture, major upgrades, structural changes, and governance standards across the Microsoft 365 tenant. The Architect is tasked with designing and overseeing the S+N Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring it functions as the organization’s digital backbone.

What will you be doing?

• In this role you will work to scalable, secure, intelligent, and focused on automation. Key responsibilities include defining information structures, collaboration models, enforcing governance, and responsibly deploying AI and automation throughout the enterprise. The Architect sets standards, approves designs, protects platform integrity, and manages ongoing platform evolution.

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of the Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring scalability, performance, security, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

• Define and enforce architectural standards, governance frameworks, and reference models across Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Purview, Intune, Defender, and Copilot.

• Act as the final authority for approving major tenant transformations, platform changes, and structural evolution, safeguarding platform integrity and operational stability.

• Design and govern enterprise collaboration architecture within Teams, covering chat, meetings, voice, and communication workflows to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant collaboration.

• Establish governance for lifecycle management, information architecture, data exposure, permissions, compliance posture, and regulatory alignment, working closely with Information Security.

• Define and oversee responsible AI deployment across Copilot Chat and Copilot for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Responsibilities include setting data boundaries, managing extensibility, lifecycle governance, and tracking productivity outcomes aligned with Zero Trust and regulatory requirements

• Provide architectural direction for identity, licensing, endpoint management, and security to enable secure scaling and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 licensing strategy, covering suites such as Microsoft 365 E1, E3, E5, F3, Business Premium, and associated security and compliance add-ons, ensuring optimal use and governance alignment.

• Guide the implementation of identity governance, Conditional Access, endpoint security, and device management utilizing Intune and Defender, while maintaining balance between usability, governance, and scalability.

• Align the Digital Workplace strategy with business objectives and Microsoft platform capabilities to ensure the environment remains secure, governed, automation-driven, and ready for the future.

What will you need to be successful?

• Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or related subject preferred.
• Certifications: Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, MS-102, MD-102, and AZ-305, reflecting expertise in security, identity, and cloud architecture. 
• Experience with AI governance, intelligent productivity, and automation-focused workplace design. 
• Familiarity with ITIL and structured service governance to support platform lifecycle and stability. 
• Work from Office – 3 days in a week in UK Shift (12:30 PM IST to 9:30 PM IST)
• Experience: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Copilot. 
• Expertise in identity and security architecture utilizing Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust models. 
• Strong understanding of endpoint management with Intune and Windows Enterprise, ensuring a secure and scalable environment. 
• Experience designing security and compliance using Microsoft Defender and Purview, including information protection, governance, and compliance models. 
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, such as PowerShell, for governed and scalable platform management.
