Job Summary
The Radiology Admitting Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of patient registration process. This position assists with a variety of duties in the department, including but not limited to verifying orders, checking patient demographics, and coordinating daily patient workflow. The Radiology Admitting Representative must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and perform calmly in stressful situations. Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends.Pay Range
Minimum $20.53 Midpoint $27.19 Maximum $33.86Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: One (1) year working in admitting/registration within a hospital setting. One (1+) years’ medical terminology.
• Preferred: Minimum six (6) months working in radiology outpatient setting.
Education
• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: Completion of college level courses.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong team player. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship, collaboration skills and excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area. Attention to detail, desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for patients, problem solving skills and composure in stressful situations. Ability to work with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish highly preferred.
Licensure
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
