This embedded Field Applications Engineering role is for an individual striving to contribute to the innovation laden field of robotics and autonomous machines and who wishes to become a recognized technical expert and partner to Nvidia’s developer community, someone who believes that deep learning, and artificial intelligence is a new computing revolution and has the potential to help transform the industry.

NVIDIA is searching for an outstanding Field Applications Engineer with a focus on embedded systems and SW platforms for autonomous machines, robotics and AI at the edge of the internet of things. Your primary responsibilities will be to work with our customers and partner ecosystem and support them in the development of Jetson and IGX systems, building optimized SW solutions on those systems and applying NVIDIA’s application platforms for metropolis, robotics, deep learning, and autonomous machines. You will be collaborating with many diverse groups within our organizations, NVIDIA’s sales partners as well as ensuring a positive experience for our customers. You should be comfortable working in a multifaceted environment, and have first experience with embedded systems and operating systems and BSPs, and a strong interest in computer vision and sensing and machine learning

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with our sales teams to support customers of IGX and Jetson, as well as ecosystem partners. Develop the skills to take on responsibility for the technical relationship with customers.

  • Assist customers by reviewing their architectures, guiding them through our architecture blueprints to ensure customers design best-in-class embedded solutions with Jetson AGX and IGX

  • You will be developing and optimizing proof of concepts and demos with Jetson and IGX leveraging our Metropolis and Isaac SDKs and demonstrate those to customers and partners

  • Assist in training our partner ecosystem to duplicate your capabilities across our vast network of sales partners

  • Establish relationships and become trusted advisor with internal product management and engineering teams

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

  • C/C++ and Python programming skills

  • Curiosity about embedded systems, experiences with Linux and interest in configuring OS and firmware of embedded systems

  • First knowledge of Deep Learning and AI and a strong interest to further build on this

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as interest in interacting and collaborating with developers and engineers at our customers

  • Strong written and oral communications skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, management and engineering

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Embedded Linux System, APIs and similar embedded OS knowledge

  • Background with robotics and ROS

  • Experience with computer vision and camera video processing

  • Experience with deep learning for computer vision
