The Opportunity:


CACI is seeking various levels of telecommunications/VOIP engineers to provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization effort. You will provide expert telephony expertise with upgrading and replacing VOIP based telecommunication systems. You will be part of or will lead a team of engineers in the design, integration, and implementation of a VOIP solution at multiple locations. You will be integrating network solutions to include switches, routers, and voice gateways and work closely with other telecommunications/VOIP engineers, network security engineers, and various other groups within the program. This position will involve travel to remote CONUS sites to work independently with limited supervision on system upgrades and implementations. Must be able to keep up with fast pace fielding schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and configuration of routers, switches, and VOIP infrastructure across multiple enterprise environments/client locations, both remotely and on-site

  • Participate in site surveys either independently or as part of a team to document current As-Is state (equipment, users, connected devices, power, back-up, etc.)

  • Ability to stay on schedule and able to work through any impediments encountered in the field

  • Perform advanced configurations on server infrastructures (mixed virtualized and physical environments)

  • Create and maintain detailed diagrams and technical documentation of enterprise voice networks

  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, MPLS and general network theory required

  • Able to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems

  • Provide timely and accurate status updates to customer contacts and management

  • Provide guidance/mentor more junior members of the team on VOIP technology

  • Partner and work with 3rd party teams and vendors

  • Lead device maintenance/firm ware updates/installation activities


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • BA/BS and at least 12 + years of related network engineering/IT experience.  Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager

  • Familiarity with Avaya and Ribbon VoIP solutions

  • Familiarity and understanding of obtaining accreditation (ATO) for new VoIP implementation

  • Experience with replacing TDM solution with IP-based version

  • PSTN circuits (PRI, T1, SIP, analog, FXO, FXS)

  • Network Routing

  • Network Switching

  • Voice gateways and protocols

  • H.323/SIP/MGCP/SCCP

  • Active Secret clearance (required), Interim is acceptable

  • Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)

  • Certifications (must be 8570 compliant with a combination of the following):

    • CCIE

    • CCNP

    • Security +

    • Server +

Desired:

  • Cisco Unity/Unity Connection/Unified Messaging

  • Cisco UC on UCS

  • VMWare 6.x

  • Cisco Telepresence

  • CCIE Collaboration

  • VMWare configuration experience

  • Windows Server administration experience

  • Network trouble shooting skills

  • Experience with other VOIP Equipment Manufactures (Avaya, Logitech, Valcom, Ribbon, etc.)`

  • SIP/AS-SIP experience

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$95,500-$210,100
