Position Summary:

Coperion is looking for an Lead Automation Engineer to join and lead our Automation Team in the Engineering Department in Ferrara/ Italy.  As Automation Engineer Senior Manager you are required to coordinate, plan, develop and optimize activities and resources related to the automation system supplies for material handling plants.

Work He/She’ll Do:

  • is responsible for achieving the objectives of the department set by the management
  • ensures periodic reporting to the TECHNICAL AND ENGINEERING MANAGER on the organizational, productive and financial situation of the automation department
  • in collaboration with the TECHNICAL AND ENGINEERING MANAGER, he/she periodically checks the progress of orders for the supply of products for automation
  • coordinates, supervises and takes part in activities related to purchasing and product quality
  • is responsible for the optimization of resources (human and material resources) related to his/her department
  • is responsible for process optimization and innovation
  • supports the sales department in the preparation of sales offers a

Basic Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in technical fields (Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering)
  • Professional experience of at least 3 years in a similar position in the case of a university degree; at least 5 years in the case of a diploma
  • Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project
  • EPLAN (user knowledge)
  • Electric CAD (user knowledge)
  • English and Italian languages (advanced level)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Specific knowledge of Automation applications shall be appreciated
  • Good standing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knack for innovation to seek new opportunity to upgrade automated processes and increase productivity
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Skills on Coordinate and develop the resources of the assigned automation Team
