THE OPPORTUNITY

Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) develops innovative products and technologies that help people with diabetes manage their condition and live fuller lives. As part of Abbott’s medical devices portfolio, the division delivers advanced, reliable and patient‑centered solutions that support both healthcare professionals and individuals worldwide.
We are currently looking for a Supervisor Order Entry to join our ADC team in Madrid.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities for the Order Entry (OE) team, including vacation backup arrangements and a single point of contact for the sales network, ensuring smooth oversight of the end‑to‑end process.
  • Develop or review comprehensive protocols for managing traditional OE and Home Delivery OE, ensuring error‑free order intake, timely order creation, and prompt incident resolution with proactive communication to the sales organization.
  • Define daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs that cover the entire cycle—from order entry to invoicing and payment—while monitoring and managing incidents throughout the process.
  • Act as a dedicated service provider to the sales network, minimizing the need for their involvement in operational follow‑up unless their support is expressly required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures and quality standards relating to Order Entry activities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with quality system requirements.
  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the order entry system.
  • Identify, highlight, and implement efficiency improvements across the OE team.
  • Supervise and ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP), both internally and across external contracted warehouses.
  • Manage billing incidents and competitions in collaboration with the Credit and Collections Department.
  • Oversee and coordinate Breda information regarding backorders and List Number changes, ensuring timely communication to local departments.
  • Deliver complete administrative and customer service support.
  • Highlight potential non‑compliance issues to the Controller.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Order Entry and/or Customer Service.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Solid knowledge of customer master systems.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency.

SKILLS / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.
  • Strong business orientation and customer‑focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated team player with collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to drive efficiency improvements and manage complex operational processes.
