We are scaling operations in Illinois to manufacture high-quality battery systems, and we are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician at Gotion, you will:

  • Service Center Operations:

    • Manage the daily operation of the rework functional area at the service center.
    • Perform high-voltage (HV) battery rework, including PACK fault diagnosis, maintenance, and inspection.
  • On-Site Support:

    • Travel to customer factories to ensure smooth 0KM delivery, perform on-site sorting and repair of faulty packs, and undertake other business trip tasks as required.
  • Customer Support & Training:

    • Provide after-sales technical support and deliver battery system product introduction training to customers.
    • Respond to customer inquiries related to after-sales issues, offering tailored solutions and gathering feedback to improve customer satisfaction.
    • Guide customers in safety checks, overhauls, and safe operational practices.
  • Resource Coordination:

    • Coordinate after-sales resources to ensure seamless support, including accessory supply, technical assistance, and service guarantees.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Communicate effectively with customers and end users to address and resolve issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Electrical training, with a Kankakee County journeyman license or the ability to obtain one.
    • Hands-on experience in post-commissioning service; familiarity with battery packs and battery management systems (BMS) is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Proficiency in verbal and written English to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Professionalism:

    • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Flexibility & Travel:

    • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites when necessary.
