We are currently looking to add a Logistics Specialist to our busy team.

In this role you will join a busy team in the purchasing department. The job purpose is to coordinate and support logistics operations with a strong emphasis on export/import processes, and the timely movement of goods across international borders. The role ensures accurate documentation, customs declarations, and communication with hauliers.

Key Responsibilities
 

Customs & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit accurate import/export documents and liaise with hauliers and couriers
  • Keep records of all customs documentation for audit purposes
     

Logistics Administration

  • Coordinate shipments with hauliers and couriers (air, sea, and road)
  • Track and trace shipments and proactively address any delays or issues
  • Process shipping and customs documents (delivery notes, commercial invoices, packing lists)
  • Work with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
  • Maintain MRP system data related to shipments
  • General admin work – i.e. archiving all customs documents
     

Desired experience, skills:

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain administration
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience dealing with customs and international shipping
  • Knowledge of UK, EU, and international trade regulations, including export/import documentation
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and HS Codes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with documentation
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with MRP systems
  • Team player with the ability to work self-sufficiently
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Problem solver.
