Head of Enabling Systems (m/f/d) (Ref.No. R1006847) at our location in Ditzingen near Stuttgart

You will enjoy having this responsibility:

As a Head of Enabling Systems (m/f/d) you will lead a highly motivated team of engineers and take the role of product owner for virtualization and base operating systems, especially Linux. You will be responsible for the development of innovation solutions and contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the team’s performance. 

It also involves the following tasks:

  • You will lead the team in all aspects and promote a positive working atmosphere through regular feedback

  • You take responsibility for capacity planning and the personal development of your team members

  • Ensuring that the team's performance remains consistently high and removing obstacles quickly is also part of your responsibilities

  • The coordination of the is also part of your tasks as well as ensuring the smooth completion of deliverables 

  • In addition, you drive the continuous improvement process to ensure a high level of output from the team in the long term including continuous integration and deployment

  • You will guide engineers on both procedural and architectural issues in the area of Linux and virtualization technologies and cover a product owner role for one part of the team

You have:

  • You have successfully completed a technical degree, preferably in the field of engineering informatics or information security

  • You have proven technical experience from design to implementation of solution elements based on operating systems, virtualization environments and network facilities

  • A deep Experience in Linux, KVM and layer 3 network is important; a background in Openstack and K8s is an advantage

  • Ideally, you already have experience as a product owner and understand the security best practices for operating systems, network and virtualization

  • As a Team leader you focus on your own responsibilities and you lead international and multidisciplinary teams with empathy and as a role model

  • You are fluent in English, verbally and written and you have preferable good German skills
