The Middle and Large Commercial Digital Acquisition and Solutions Lead will play a pivotal role in relationship management, production performance and execution across Middle and Large Commercial’s digital assets.
In this highly visible role, the candidate will have accountability for digital acquisition execution and management of several digital distribution relationships. The candidate will be responsible for achievement of our digital acquisition objectives and overall Financial Performance for their assigned digital distribution relationships.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working out of one of the following office locations 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) Hartford, CT; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA or other Regional Office locations.
Responsibilities:
Digital Acquisition:
Asset performance – including submission flow, conversion rates and alignment with Middle and Large Commercial’s targeted portfolio mix.
New digital distribution partner identification, negotiation, as well as successful onboarding and integration.
Top and bottom-line financial performance.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders to identify and address market opportunities to profitability grow the Middle and Large Commercial presence and portfolio through our various digital channels.
Distribution Management:
Identify and build relationships with new digitally focused distribution partners, including retail agents/brokers.
Develop and maintain awareness of digital distribution strategies
Train distribution relationships on our digital assets, workflows, product capabilities and appetite .
Engage with assigned digital distribution relationships to establish top-line premium objectives and build strong partnership to profitably grow our portfolio through digital acquisition.
Act as a key digital point of contact for external partners
Performance Analytics:
Work with internal partners to generate key performance indicators
Optimize production results by monitoring performance and trends for our digital assets
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of digital distribution landscape to provide insights
Partner with Underwriting Leadership to monitor pricing and underwriting quality results
Collaborate with IT, Digital COE, and Middle and Large Commercial Product/Business functions as appropriate on technology or product enhancements that will accelerate the growth of our digital acquisition assets
Strategy:
Partner with MLC Head of Strategy as well as Digital COE in strategic roadmap for digital acquisition growth as well as overall digital capabilities (service etc.) as well as single point of contact for MLC Digital Roadmap overall.
Work with management and functional teams to define KPIs, measure effectiveness of strategic acquisition, and adjust optimize upsell/cross-sell programs as needed
Work closely with all colleagues to build consistent customer satisfaction, to leverage synergies, and to develop and deploy best practices
Qualifications:
Minimum of seven years of experience in Middle and Large Commercial underwriting or distribution management
Dynamic leader with strong influencing skills and experience successfully managing large partnerships.
Understanding of Insurance technology, including contemporary technologies and platform services and integrations
Success in previous Digital transformations or Digital acquisition efforts inside an Agent/Broker/Distributor is a plus
Experience with large Brokers preferred
Experience with Broker/Agency Digital integration and/or training preferred
Strong communication and executive presence, both verbal and written. Proficient in presentation building and delivery
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify trends and drive improved execution and financial performance
An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions.
High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit
Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills
Goal-oriented and delivers outcomes
Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win
Ability to travel up to 50%
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
