Director, Pricing – High Net Worth (HNW) Business (Singapore‑Based)

Location: Singapore
Reports to: AVP, HNW Pricing

About the Role

Reporting to the AVP, HNW Pricing for High Net Worth (HNW) business, this Singapore-based role will support the strategic pricing and product development of HNW products to support growth objectives while balancing the interests of key stakeholders. The Director of Pricing will provide insight and interpretation of financial results and key risks to influence business decisions and develop innovative solutions to complex business issues.

Key Responsibilities

HNW Product Pricing & Strategy

• Lead pricing and actuarial analysis for new HNW product initiatives, ensuring alignment with profitability requirements and market strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Strategy & Proposition, Implementation and Business teams to design differentiated HNW offerings and features.
• Support special quotes, jumbo cases, and bespoke client solutions.

Actuarial Modeling & Financial Analysis

• Build and refine deterministic and stochastic models for pricing and profitability assessment.
• Leverage PathWise and other advanced modeling tools to strengthen modelling capabilities
• Monitor new business performance and recommend adjustments based on emerging experience.
• Ensure compliance with governance processes.

Cross‑Functional Engagement

• Work with Partnership and Product Strategy & Proposition teams to optimize product design and support campaigns.
• Clearly communicate complex technical results to senior leaders across multiple regions.
• Provide actuarial insight for broader HNW strategy and cross‑regional initiatives.

Leadership & Technical Excellence

• Serve as a technical leader in product mechanics, pricing practices, and actuarial innovation for the HNW Business.
• Enhance modeling capabilities across the function.
• Mentor and support actuarial colleagues, reinforcing consistency and best practices across the HNW pricing discipline.
• Drive innovative thinking around product features, risk assessment, and analytic methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience.
• FSA, FCIA, FIA or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in pricing and modeling.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HNW life products.
• Proficiency with PathWise or other advanced actuarial systems.
• Strong innovation mindset with a track record of creative problem solving.
• Experience guiding junior actuarial resources or contributing to technical leadership.
