OVERVIEW:

The Director of Facilities for the Customer Support Center (corporate) will provide leadership, vision, strategy, and direction for the Customer Support Center Facilities team in conjunction with the VP of Facilities.

This position will lead and manage all operations of facility maintenance, on-site service providers, special event execution, construction, expansion, and general management of the Customer Support Center. This includes the 670,000 square foot Store Support Center, 65,000 square foot airplane hangar, 15,000 square foot childcare center, 116 acres of parking lots, outdoor sports facilities, and landscaping. The position has budgetary responsibility for Facilities operations and initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operational management of the on-site Customer Support Center (Corporate) Facilities Team and outside vendors. These activities include the day-to-day maintenance operations and all construction special projects. This includes the Store Support Building as well as the surrounding properties (Plane Hangar, athletic facilities - tennis & basketball courts, soccer field, walking track, parking lots, etc.).

  • Operational management of all outsourced Facilities Services of the Café and on-site restaurant (McNamara Grill), health club, copy center, vending operations, and PNC Bank. Plan and establish fiscal budget, monitor expenditures, and make necessary adjustments and modifications to ensure budgetary compliance. Manage relationships with all external vendor executive teams and participate in contract negotiations, capital expenditure planning, and ongoing management of on-site services.

  • Full accountability for budget planning and annual Customer Support Center (corporate) campus operational capital & expense budgets. Includes all physical assets, as well as external vendor contracts. Requires major collaboration with other areas of the business to ensure that all initiatives are accounted for (Loss Prevention physical safety initiatives, Fitness Equipment upgrades, Data Center maintenance, etc.).

  • Daily management of Customer Support Center mailroom, reception areas, and site facilities teams, as well as oversight of personnel management of external vendor employees. Manage relationships between DICK'S and the surrounding governmental entities, including the Airport Authority, the Moon and Findlay Township Police Force, building and fire inspectors, emergency response teams, etc.

  • Develop and maintain space management plans for the Customer Support Center (corporate) campus. Includes coordinating and executing all associate and department moves within the facility as well as establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with senior leaders of all Customer Support Center areas. Requires coordination of physical equipment moves, office construction and reconfiguration, painting, electrical modifications, etc.

  • Direct and work closely with department leadership, onsite vendors, and outside entities to coordinate and manage all Customer Support Center special events, including marketing events, merchandising driven displays, semi-annual town halls, sample sales, quarterly board meeting facilitation, annual company picnic, blood drives, intramural sporting leagues, etc.

  • Direct operational facilitation of the Customer Support Center (corporate) Campus Energy Management System (Delta Control System) in an effort to lead sustainability program. Responsible for ensuring all electrical and mechanical systems for Data Center are sufficient to meet technical needs and are maintained to minimize service interruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering preferred 

  • 5 - 7 years experience

  • Prior facilities management of multi-site business campus

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

  • Understanding of building infrastructure & systems including electrical, sprinkler, plumbing, emergency egress, and Data Center systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC Programming and operation, including boilers and chillers

  • Vertical Transportation knowledge
