As part of its growth strategy, Tetris opened a new department in France dedicated to the distribution of furniture and accessories for all its customers and prospects in January 2017.

Following the success of this strategy we are establishing the Furniture Solutions business across all our Tétris countries.

 

We are looking for a Director and Business Manager for our Furniture Solutions department based in Amsterdam, Netherlands in order to perpetuate our 'success story' in this country.

 

Role / Mission (Director)

 

Reporting directly to the Cluster leader of Furniture Solutions of this region, you will:

 

- Oversee talent development and capacity management for furniture operations.

- Propose, develop the sales strategy with your teams.

- Develop external and internal customer networks.

- Advise customers, investors and purchasing advisors in furniture design solutions.

- Monitor activity, global coordination and take potential corrective actions.

- Manage your teams according to company ethical rules.

- Be fully accountable for the success of this department.

Role / Mission (Business Manager)

- Point of contact for our design team and client.

- Extensive product knowledge of furniture relevant for a variety of projects, in order to make a suitable furniture proposal together with the architect/designer.

- Ensure that client requirements, including functionality, budget, ergonomics and aesthetics are balanced, and that we benefit from fair profit margins.

- Management of the full life cycle of projects - client and supplier liaison, administration, project management, implementation.

- You are 'commercial minded' and know how to bring in the customer with your enthusiasm and knowledge.

- Up to date with latest industry developments and trends, with all the supply partners; and you can use your technical insight to provide architects and designers with creative ideas that fit in with the overall interior design.

- Knowledge of the application of materials and the latest trends in the field of sustainability and circularity.

Required qualities

 

- Solid experience in team management for the supply of furniture.

- A strong culture of furniture design and full understanding and reading of layouts.

- A keen sense of business and customer satisfaction with proven experience.

- Team spirit and empathy.

- Organisational skills.

- Dynamism.

- Flexibility.

 

Required skills

 

- Perfect knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

- Knowledge and experience in Salesforce and Navision a bonus.

What do we ask of you?

- You have a completed education at HBO or TU Bouwkunde or Architecture with affinity for interior design (or a similar education).

- You have approximately 5 years of relevant work experience in the furniture industry.

- You have knowledge of the current laws and regulations in the field of workplaces (ARBO and NEN); Buildings Decree; and fire safety.

- Full command of both Dutch and English languages.

- Official Dutch driving license.
