Investment Banking at TD Securities

Your Summer as an Investment Banking Analyst

  • You will be assigned to the Montreal coverage group and gain experience in mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions across a range of industries;
  • You will work under the overall direction of a senior officer in a group of experienced professionals as they generate ideas, advise clients and execute transactions.

How You Will Contribute

  • Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities;
  • Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities;
  • Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities;
  • Value private and public companies;
  • Assist with client negotiations and documentation;
  • Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos;
  • Prepare client presentations based upon the above.

Qualifications

  • Graduating in December 2025 or spring/summer 2026 with an undergraduate degree;
  • Have a combination of strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a solid foundation in finance or mathematics;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and,
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (i.e. sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, philanthropy).

  • Vous travaillerez avec le groupe responsable de la couverture de Montreal et acquerrez de l’expérience en matière de fusions et acquisitions et d’opérations sur les marchés des capitaux propres dans divers secteurs d’activité;
  • Vous travaillerez sous la direction générale d’un cadre supérieur au sein d’un groupe de professionnels chevronnés chargés de présenter des idées, de conseiller des clients et d’effectuer des opérations.

Vos tâches :

  • Faire de la recherche et de l’analyse sur la situation financière des clients, le secteur et les données de marché, de même que sur les occasions de fusions et d’acquisitions;
  • Élaborer des modèles d’évaluation pour des sociétés individuelles privées et publiques, ainsi que pour des entités fusionnées;
  • Utiliser les outils d’évaluation pour jauger les occasions;
  • Évaluer les sociétés privées et publiques;
  • Collaborer aux négociations avec les clients et aux dossiers clients;
  • Préparer des propositions pour les clients externes et des notes internes relatives à la prise ferme;
  • Préparer des présentations aux clients en fonction des éléments susmentionnés.

Compétences

  • Obtention du diplôme de premier cycle en décembre 2025 ou au printemps/à l’été 2026;
  • Combinaison réunissant de solides capacités d’analyses, d’excellentes habiletés en communication et de solides bases en finances et en mathématiques;
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement en équipe;
  • Expérience éprouvée en leadership (p. ex. sports, clubs, activités parascolaires, philanthropie).
