Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the design and ongoing administration of key Geisinger Health System talent initiatives such as employee engagement, executive coaching, change management, team dynamics, succession, retention and more.

Role is accountable for the planning and execution of organizational development activities across Geisinger. This Sr. Consultant-level position will conduct organizational needs assessment to identify improvement opportunities at the systematic level. The Sr. Consultant will also serve as a consultative liaison between front-line operations, the Talent Management and Human Resources function. Successful execution of this position will include effective delivery of programs, policies and efforts aligned to the broader purpose, vision and objectives Geisinger.

This position requires a high degree of versatility and adaptability, with responsibilities evolving based on organizational priorities and emerging needs. The senior consultant will also design and deliver scalable training programs and facilitate learning sessions across diverse audiences. This person will also strategically plan larger scale roll-outs and program management needs in the future depending on organizational needs. Examples could include coaching programs, high potential leadership programs, rewards and recognition programs etc.

Job Duties:

  • Leads the assessment, design, development and implementation for various talent management projects within the organization.

  • Leads the assessment of the needs of Geisinger employees and develops appropriate Organizational Development (OD) initiatives.

  •  Strategies are developed to align OD&L initiatives with Geisinger’s business needs and organizational and leadership competencies.

  • Supports the development of systematic plan for OD&L initiatives.

  • Consults with leaders and conducts workshops on talent management processes including performance evaluation, succession planning, goal setting, leadership development and team dynamics.

  • Independently applies knowledge of key functional areas (such as Change Management, Process Improvement etc) to effectively support operations.

  • Looks for and implements innovation and organizational change to improve L&OD effectiveness.

  • Designs, develops, and scales training programs and learning interventions to meet organizational goals across departments and levels.

  • Facilitates engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and team development activities for a variety of audiences.

  • Continuously adapts role and responsibilities in response to shifting organizational needs, strategic priorities, and stakeholder feedback.

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to evaluate training effectiveness and iterate on program design for continuous improvement.

Certifications: preferred but not required, PROSCI, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or an equivalent professional qualification Certifications in instructional design, facilitation, or adult learning or behavioral assessments (e.g., ATD, CPTD, DDI, MBTI, EQ, Hogan) are a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years-Related work experience (Required)
