JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.

Our location in Santa Clara, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Product Manager.   The Global Marketing Sr. Product Manager will focus on the physiology product portfolio and will be commercially focused from a global perspective.  Responsibilities include,  but are not limited to, development of promotional and market development strategies and execution, lifecycle management, and development of product launch and promotional campaigns.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Achieve Global product line sales and margin by driving execution of global marketing plans, tracking key business metrics, and adjusting tactics as needed to achieve targets.  
  • Lead the development of marketing and market development strategies for the product portfolio with analysis and insights from customer and competitive insights, market research, market trends, and clinical data.  Create specific tactics and identify resources required to drive growth opportunities and address key risks.  Develop and provide guidance on global pricing strategies and comprehensive global multi-channel marketing efforts and implement tracking of key performance indicators. 
  • Lead product launches with the development of go-to market strategies and tactical plans and alignment with leadership and internal regional stakeholders.   Organize information in a logical concise manner.   Create positioning and marketing collateral to drive adoption and differentiate from the competition. 
  • Develop global branding, messaging, and sales educational/promotional tools based on market insights, value proposition of the product line, and clinical data. 
  • Assess product line performance in sales, margins, demand, and brand perception. Identify trends and risks, understand trends driving demand in top regions, communicate to the appropriate internal stakeholders changes and key assumptions. Work with cross functional teams including Finance and Demand Planning.   Conduct formal market research.
  • Understand the market and trends to proactively develop strategies.  Anticipate new areas of interest, impact of new clinical data, and areas of opportunity to further drive adoption of the product.
  • Build relationships with key customers and thought leaders to collaborate on educational initiatives.
  • Project Management:  Manage the marketing aspects of projects involving cross functional groups for new product launches, cross functional initiatives, and new business processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 4 years related experience in marketing or product management, or combination of MBA with at least 1-3 years related experience.  
  • Strong presentation & communication skills, strategic planning, critical thinking and analysis of market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel within U.S. and internationally

Preferred

  • Product management experience in medical products or services preferred
  • MBA Strongly preferred

The base pay for this position is

$125,700.00 – $251,500.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
