Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes Diagnostic Centers, Outpatient Surgery and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. 

 

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is looking to add a Department Manager to the team who will be responsible for all the ambulatory locations on the Martin North Campus including the Riverside Medical Office Building, Cancer Center, the Pare building, Raub Rehab, Tradition Infusion and St. Lucie West Radiation Oncolgy. As a Department Manager, you will oversee your designated department and team, supervising all areas of staffing, annual budgets, workflow, procedures and improvement initiatives. You will also assist with various scheduling and related administrative duties, offering an excellent avenue through which to further development your management skills. All the while, you will have access to numerous resources through Cleveland Clinic, such as continuing education, additional training and more. 

 

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:   

  • Manage department operations and personnel. 

  • Complete staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management. 

  • Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives. 

  • Monitors quality and financial performance. 

  • Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards. 

  • Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies. 

  • Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application. 

  • Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service. 

  • Analyze programs and make improvements. 

  • Participate in manager meetings and relevant committees as assigned by Director. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

  • Associates Degree and three years of team lead, supervisor or manager experience  

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience  

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience 

  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or a related field  

  • Healthcare experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.

  • May require extended periods of sitting, standing and walking.

  • Must be able to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.

  • Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person.
