Essential Functions:

  • Manage projects and create industry/client submittals.
  • 3D model and 2D drawing creation.
  • Manage lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Maintain customer correspondence including approvals, changes, agreements and transmittals.
  • Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models.
  • Other engineering/manufacturing related tasks as deemed appropriate by management.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 5 years relevant engineering experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have the ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components.
  • Must have and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Must have strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to be a team player.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in design, fabrication, installation, and/or maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS FEA design software or similar.
  • Experience in the generation of installation, operation, and maintenance instruction manuals.
  • Casting process knowledge.
  • Freight Rail or heavy industry experience.
