We are seeking a highly motivated Program Financial Analyst Senior responsible for overseeing all financial aspects related to material on a large manufacturing government contract. This role ensures accurate bidding and estimating of material costs, timely procurement and ordering, and effective tracking of budgets, actual costs, and forecasts.

The Finance Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to support program objectives, maintains compliance with company and government requirements, and provides financial analysis and reporting to drive successful program execution. This position is critical for optimizing material cost performance, mitigating financial risks, and supporting the overall financial health of the program.

Material Bidding and Estimating

  • Ensure all material pricing aligns with program requirements.
  • Validate program assumptions and ensure estimates are realistic and achievable.
  • Support pre-award activities to establish post-award project baselines for material costs.

Material Ordering and Procurement

  • Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely ordering of materials, considering lead times and production schedules.
  • Monitor and control material acquisition to meet program milestones and production goals.
  • Identify and manage large material purchases and long-lead items.

Budget, Cost, and Forecast Tracking

  • Set up and maintain program financials, including tracking of material budgets and actual costs throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Perform ongoing financial analysis to monitor material cost performance and identify variances.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts for material costs, updating estimates as needed based on program changes.
  • Report financial status to program leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

General Leadership and Collaboration

  • Engage with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program management) to ensure alignment on material requirements and financial objectives.
  • Participate in program reviews, cost status meetings, and collaboration sessions to support program execution and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of program financial control experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Advanced level Excel skills (Vlookup, pivot table, macros, etc).
  • Strong organization, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written to clearly provide detailed analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, or in a team environment and with various organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Finance experience with multiple contract types.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to identify financial drivers and perform high level and detailed analysis.
  • Microsoft Power BI development

Pay Range:

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
