Job Description:

The position is responsible for the identification, analysis and development of business requirements for systems development projects; defining and reviewing the design of the proposed system solution; leading and managing systems development following agreed business requirements; and testing, implementation and documentation of the supported systems used in the assigned business unit.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Determines, analyzes and documents medium-size business requirements from the business community and coordinates with the developers to create the system specifications.

2. Maintains the high-level knowledge of the business' current technology and infrastructure.

3. Identifies areas for improvement on both manual processes and automated systems being developed and supported.

4. Communicates with the developers for clarification of business requirements, testing, and reporting of errors found in the systems being supported.

5. Formulates test execution strategy, identifies all possible test scenarios.

6. Prepares and executes the test plan and conducts the acceptance testing for the developed programs.

7. Prepares and documents manual and system procedures in support of the business needs.

8. Provides post-implementation and production support for supported systems including analysis of medium production problems raised by business users.

9. Conducts business or functional training for the business community and technical team as needed.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Management
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, experience as a systems analyst is preferred
Experience in insurance, finance and/or banking applications is preferred (e.g., business analysis of insurance administration systems, pre-need, mutual funds, trust system or finance system)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
