As a Software Engineer in Salesforce , you will be part of a software engineering team that delivers functionality built on a Salesforce Platform primarily passionate about an internal Service Cloud implementation. You will work with the team of software engineers, product managers, and architects responsible for feature development and application maintenance. As a part of this role you will be passionate about delivering solutions that will have a direct impact on our Business Technology organization, pairing outstanding Service Cloud solutions with best development, and business practices
Responsibilities:
You will help to ensure every line of code we push to production is of the highest quality. This includes participating in the design, planning, and improvement of automation frameworks, utilities and tools. You should deliver solutions others can understand, support, maintain and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry, and how those can be applied in your work; and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the proven track record to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.
This role requires that you to have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to give ideas and provide feedback on many items within the team’s portfolio.
Build applications on Salesforce platform with an emphasis on Service Cloud
Integrate Salesforce with 3rd party applications
Participate in product and feature design with product team, architects
Focus on configuration and out of the box solutions first before resorting to custom coded solutions
Design applications based on common design patterns and standard process algorithms
Plan, design, and improve automation framework, utilities and tools
Participate in and provide to code reviews
Ensure product quality meets customer expectations
Required Skills:
6+ years experience of development and support of enterprise applications aligned to a business unit or platform, handling all aspects including, work management and platform maintenance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field or relevant work experience
Good experience of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Software development
Knowledge of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and concepts
Experience with sandbox and production deployments
Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities
Proven ability to handle overall business initiative or several components of a large, complex project with direct experience in Agile and Scrum;
Good project management skills with ability to balance multiple projects/tasks across various user groups
Must be proactive and Salesforce enthusiast who thrives with working in fast-paced environment
Great teammate with a service-oriented attitude and customer focus
Familiarity with SOX protocols, Change Management and Release Management principles and processes
Salesforce Platform:
5 years previous Salesforce application development or support with a minimum 300-seat environment handling all aspects of CRM, case management and platform maintenance
Experience programming in Apex Code and Visualforce Pages, usage of Triggers and Flows
Experience with Java and Python
Experience Object Oriented design and programming, and MVC
Experience of HTML, CSS, and Javascript (JS)
Experience with Salesforce developer toolkit including Force.com IDE, Migration Tool and Web Services, LWC
Good knowledge of Salesforce's Web Services, SOQL, SOSL and security model
Understanding of standard processes regarding Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing standard processes.
Minimum of 3 SFDC Certifications with at least 1 developer certification on Force.com platform
Nice to have:
Minimum of 4 SFDC Certifications with at least 1 developer certification on Force.com platform
Service Cloud Certification
Experience with HTML/XHTML, jQuery, Javascript, AJAX, SQL, SOAP, REST, JSON, Apex, SOQL
Java and J2EE related technologies
Knowledge of on-demand CRM and platform technologies and their integrations to ERP systems.
Experience with FTP and API integrations.
Experience with Salesforce ecosystem and products
Knowledge of IT business functions, including case management, knowledge management, live chat, and asset management
Good Knowledge of IT data models business processes and organizational hierarchies - Workday knowledge is ideal
ITIL certification
