Responsibilities:

  • Meet with vendors and establish external contacts with vendor’s salesman related to buyer’s assigned area of products, services or specific department.

  • Ensure that vendors in assigned area of products, services or specific departments meet established delivery dates at the lowest possible price with required quality and quantity.

  • Maintain awareness of and adhere to time constraints when ordering perishable products.

  • Resolve all problems associated with satisfying and fulfilling purchasing requests in assigned areas of products, services or specific departments.


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years work experience in Purchasing and/or Gaming Equipment position where attention to details and analytical skills are required (casino industry preferred).

  • High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor Degree in Business related field preferred.

  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.

  • Good working knowledge of PC computer software (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of purchasing programs, basic understanding of accounting practices and theories, ability to be flexible and be multi-tasked, organization skills to function effectively with attention to details while meeting established deadlines.
