As the Security Architect you will have the opportunity to work in an evolving environment across multiple security domains, designing cybersecurity architecture and respective solutions, working with stakeholders across Insulet, and ensuring we have the right solutions in place to protect Insulet against cyber threats. You will do this by working closely with our Enterprise Architecture and Corporate Technology departments to understand Insulet’s infrastructure, business objectives, and the cyber threat landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and define security controls related to cybersecurity.
  • Identify and work with internal teams and external partners to design end-to-end technical solutions based on business needs with consideration for the cyber threat landscape.
  • Conduct technology and security review assessments for business and technology efforts, identifying security gaps and making recommendations to address identified security gaps.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, senior leadership and provide input on the strategic vision and cybersecurity roadmap.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external partners to design architecture, solutions, and implement technologies in the spirit of reducing cyber risk.
  • Stay aware of industry, technology, and cybersecurity solution trends, recommending solutions, and tool rationalization.
  • Accountable for cross-functional design and documentation of solution architecture of all technologies involving cybersecurity.
  • Lead and build the Insulet cybersecurity architecture team in line with broader Enterprise Architecture practices.
  • Provide professional development guidance to direct reports.

  • Decisions related to cybersecurity risk level assessments related to business and technology objectives.

Required Leadership/Interpersonal Skills & Behaviors

  • Effectively communicate complex information, concepts, and ideas in a clear and organized manner through verbal, written, and visual mechanisms
  • Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work with cross-functional teams across the security and privacy organization and broader Corporate Technology organization
  • Ability to work with virtual and global teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience balancing security needs with broader business objectives

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security principles.
  • Experience with system and architecture activities in support of design reviews and technology and solution decisions.
  • Experience in conducting architecture reviews, creating and presenting architecture documentation, and providing feedback on technology designs.
  • Experience designing and implementing cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST CSF Framework.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years in cybersecurity. A focus on security engineering and security architecture is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study or equivalent practical experience in a related field.

Additional Information

  • The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at our Action, MA office. The preferred location is Acton, MA.
  • Travel is estimated at 10% but will flex depending on business need.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,200.00 - $216,650.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
