Job Description​

We are hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services Float Pool team. This is a full time day shift position that will float between 4 of our hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas. Hours of shift will be 8 hour shifts M-F; based on organizational needs. Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance.

In this position you will work with various conditions, procedures, and acuity levels. Our Plaza location is a Magnet Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center. Responsibilities:

• Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately.
• Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

2 years

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Associate Degree
