Your New Role and Responsibilities

An average week for a Graduate Systems Administrator providing Application Support for a number of systems across different environments and includes a wide range of activities:

  • Supporting, maintaining and improving an extensive server platform and related applications, across multiple domains and national locations;
  • Key team member supporting both the Business and ICT users of the supporting infrastructure;
  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes; to deploying system wide software;
  • Working with technical users to understand system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and document configurations or procedures;
  • Contributing to incident investigation and problem resolution by analysing logs, performance metrics, and system behaviours;
  • Assisting with user account provisioning, access management, and security compliance activities;
  • Utilising enterprise-wide monitoring platforms and adhering to documented policies and procedures;
  • Supporting system builds, patching, updates, and baseline configuration activities across multiple environments;
  • Supporting engineering and technical services teams by preparing system documentation, helping with environment setup, and participating in integration activities;
  • Directly supporting customer missions through business ICT support;
  • Applying DevOps and automation principles to increase consistency and efficiency

Graduates will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge specific to this role, to ensure they are able to contribute and reach their highest potential. As a Leidos graduate, you will be working on interesting and challenging projects and will take part in a range of training and development opportunities.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret AGSVA security clearance.

This role is ideal for someone who is completing or has recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline:

  • Bachelor Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Information Systems
  • Bachelor of Systems Engineering
  • Bachelor of Network Engineering
  • Bachelor Cybersecurity (with systems focus)
