As part of the Innovative Medicine Principal Operation Accounting & Reporting team, you will be accountable to maintain accurate and compliant Payroll accounting and reporting for several BE legal entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full ownership of payroll finance and compliance for the JnJ legal entities in Belgium. This includes but is not limited to closing processes, its financial analysis and translation of quarter-end results to J&J management and statutory reporting.
• Full ownership of payroll budget cycles, overall understanding of business drivers and assumptions, development of budget target and parameter settings in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
• As subject matter expert, act as a strong business partner by translating business needs to proper accounting and challenge/advise whenever needed.
• Support internal and external auditors with the execution of required activities related to processes under your responsibility.
• Search opportunities for improvement and propose scenario’s on how to implement
• Involvement in other statutory reporting and support the preparation of the Annual Accounts and Worker’s Council reporting
• Keep all work instructions, SOP’s and other documentation for audit controls (internal audit, PWC) compliant and ensure all processes are aligned in a changing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Language requirements: Professional English (Advanced level), Dutch recommended
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree qualification, preferably in Finance or Accounting, with minimum 5 years relevant finance experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong technical accounting expertise (BE and US GAAP, payroll accounting and compliance).
• Proficiency in SAP
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Motivated, flexible and pro-active, eager to take initiative
• Have a critical mindset, constantly challenging the status quo
• Team player with an ability to work independently and achieve results with good prioritization skills while maintaining accuracy under pressure
• Ability to work on own initiative and collaborate and build trust amongst colleagues and leaders globally
