Role Purpose

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet customer needs. They manage inventory, develop production schedules and coordinate with other teams to optimize the supply chain process. This role requires understanding of supply chain dynamics, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position will play a role in optimizing inventory levels and ensuring customer satisfaction through robust supply planning.

Candidates must be located within driving distance to Decatur, IL or Lafayette, IN.

Job Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Inventory Management:

  • Analyze demand forecasts to understand future product needs. 
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure products are available when needed while minimizing excess stock.
  • Develop and execute production schedules that align with demand forecasts and resource availability. 
  • Identify and escalate supply and inventory risks to Planning Manager.
  • Collaborate with Warehousing team to reconcile physical inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory reporting. 
  • Collaboration and communication with Sales, Production, Logistics, and other relevant teams to align demand and supply planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain role.
  • Expertise in supply planning and inventory management methodologies, tools, and systems preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain dynamics.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.

The salary range for this position is: $69,000 - $101,000.
