Work Flexibility: Field-based

The Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible to maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service business on Stryker’s products (Procare-Endoscopy & Instruments) while ensuring compliance with the quality system and manufacturer specifications. He/she delivers technical assistance at customer sites and provides documentation to internal and external customers. (Catalonia area). Please apply with your CV in English.

What you will do

  • Repair and check electronic / mechanical Stryker products
  • Complete annual check and calibration according to MDR on customer site
  • Utilize software and technological tools to maintain proper records, access technical information
  • Assist the regulatory affairs department / customer to action product recalls, field safety notices and field action notices
  • Fulfil Service contracts with planned maintenances
  • Delivery of technical Training to internal & external
  • Perform Installation of Stryker systems on customer site
  • Perform Software & Hardware Upgrades
  • Efficient and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference
  • Ensure traceability of all field-based Stryker products through reporting tools
  • Provide technical support to Internal and external customers
  • Escalade opportunities and issues appropriate team meetings
  • Ensure excellent follow-up on all customer-initiated issues
  • Ensure service provided is invoiced if not under warranty
  • Scheduling of Customer visits in cooperation with Customer service

Your profile:

​​​​​​Educated to degree level in engineering medical electronics and camera technology or ​equivalent, at least one of the following: 

  • ​Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical / Software  
  • ​Medical Physics 
  • ​Technology Subjects 
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English & Spanish (technical and medical)
  • ​Adequate IT-knowledge (Microsoft Office, ERP & CRM)​​​​
  • ​​​Up to 1 year experience in medical electronics, combined with good mechanical skills 
  • ​Up to 1 year experience in the hospital environment and health care work 
  • ​IT experience on administrative and technical level 
  • ​Experience and ability to build relationship with internal & external customers to drive brand loyalty​​ 
  • ​​​​Must be capable of working in a varied range of scenarios including the workshop, hospitals, and theatres 
  • ​Must have the ability to prioritize work and manage stress 
  • ​Must possess unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment 
  • ​Must have a service- and quality-oriented mindset 
  • ​Ability to think independently, use sound judgment, prioritize, make quick decisions and problem-solve 
  • ​Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments 
  • ​Travel will be a regular occurrence within the defined region 

Job Details:

  • Direct territories: Cataluña, Aragón, Baleares, Andorra.
  • Support in: Rest of Spain.
  • Base location: Barcelona or surroundings -home office (the candidate needs to be based in cities with facilities to travel throughout the designated direct territory).
  • Work type: field-based (50% overnight travel)
