The Position

What is the job about? 

The Purpose of the Life Cycle ManagerSequencing Solutions is to bring the value of a growing NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) portfolio to our current and future customers. Being responsible for the product management, you will help to position Roche as partner of choice and thought leader. 

This is to be covered with a strong ambition to become more effective in our business, deliver comprehensive solutions and medical value, and excel in a valuable customer experience bringing the right solutions to our customers and patients.

Your responsibilities include:

As a Life Cycle Manager, you have a deep understanding of the technical and scientific information, our customers, the competition and the (sequencing) market in general to manage and market the respective product line(s) successfully. This is accomplished by reaching out to and influencing internal stakeholders (Sales, Service, Consultancy & IT,…), regional and global (marketing) colleagues, KOLs and customers.

With this knowledge, you support the internal colleagues in the (daily) operational activities and scientific discussions putting the customer in the center.

As an expert, you are responsible for the sequencing related product lines and life cycle management within the existing marketing strategy and you are a key point of contact for and/or part of multifunctional and customer centric teams. 

You drive the product portfolio for existing and future opportunities and strive for the engagement of the respective KOL’s, identify enhancements to current features and functionality, and analyse potential partners.

You capture the benefits of the portfolio in a compelling messaging that maximizes tender wins. 

You follow-up an annual marketing plan and identify specific growth opportunities.

As a Life Cycle Manager you are the key contact person for Regional and Global Marketing colleagues for the respective product lines and you work with local Finance and Logistic colleagues for forecasting and planning purposes (short and long term).

This is the kind of expertise and experience you bring:

  • A strong background in molecular biology, genetics and molecular oncology

  • Next Generation Sequencing knowledge (both scientific and on the level op diagnostic applications)   

  • Experience in a service-providing position with a strong customer-centric mindset

  • A strong commercial insight and drive are key

  • Marketing experience is a plus

  • Knowledge and/or interest of organizational aspects of the hospitals and / or Laboratories

  • Ability to work cross functional

  • Language Skills: Native Level of Japanese and Proficiency in English
