About the Role:

Dow Jones is looking for an organized individual for a Purchasing internship. You will report to the Manager, Purchasing and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Purchasing while working with a team of experienced professionals. You will participate in project work, including a purchase order review/clean-up project. You will also assist in the day-to-day operations involved in purchasing.

This role is a hybrid, based in our Princeton, NJ office.  

You Will:

  • Review purchase requisitions in SAP for accuracy and release for business and finance approval 

  • Help with project related work around closing out expired purchase orders

  • Facilitate three way match process via invoice workbench exceptions

  • Work with designated business groups and Finance to get necessary information to complete work accurately and in a standard process

  • Work with business users and Finance groups to research and resolve tax, sourcing, invoice, or budget issues

  • Collaborate with team members on management of shared email boxes and internal ticketing system

  • Assist employees with P2P end to end process queries 

You Have:

  • At least one year of school completed, working toward a Bachelor's degree 

  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Previous relevant internship or part-time work experience

  • An analytical approach to solving problems

  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail

  • Competency with the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
