Marsh Risk

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Senior Claims Executive, you will support the end-to-end management of incoming claims and related documentation, ensuring timely, accurate processing and clear communication with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders. The role has a strong focus on Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) claims, with exposure to broader Property & Casualty claims also welcomed.

We will count on you to:

  • Review and understand incoming documentation and new claims notifications; inform relevant parties of potential issues or contentious claims and seek guidance or escalate to Claims Advocates where appropriate.
  • Identify impacted policies and coverage sections for incoming medium value claims (middle-market to large and/or medium complexity clients); seek validation or clarification to ensure proper protocols are followed.
  • Determine coverage for incoming claims of medium complexity and size using policy knowledge and coordination with insurers/underwriters to support clients and ensure adherence to established claim management standards.
  • Review escalated claims processing issues and complications; resolve where appropriate or defer to Claims Advocates for technical expertise, ensuring correct application of policy, actions, and claims rate calculations and determining next steps.
  • Liaise with clients on claim-related matters or service concerns to resolve issues of moderate complexity, including ad hoc communication with colleagues, third parties, and insurers for updates, requests, and query resolution.
  • Generate and supplement claims reports and facilitate collections from insurers on medium-sized claims, tracking settlement payments and maintaining accurate records of ongoing work.

What you need to have:

  • Experience handling claims in an insurance brokerage, insurer, TPA, or related environment, with a strong focus on WICA claims.
  • Solid working knowledge of insurance policy wordings and coverage determination, with the ability to interpret documentation and manage claims of medium complexity.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, insurers/underwriters, third parties, and internal colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting/record-keeping skills to maintain accurate claims documentation, trackers, and claims reports.

What makes you stand out:

  • Exposure to Property & Casualty claims in addition to WICA (e.g., liability, property damage, general P&C portfolios).
  • Experience supporting middle-market to large clients and managing multiple stakeholders across claims discussions and escalations.
  • Familiarity working alongside Claims Advocates or specialist claims teams and knowing when to escalate for technical guidance.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
