Position Summary:

The Manager of Accounting – COGS leads our vendor cost analysis team through their monthly processes. They help in guiding the team and reviewing the work of monthly vendor cost reconciliations, vendor reconciliation assignment, and vendor/internal platform improvements. The vendor cost reconciliation and analysis are integral to the role and to the future success of our organization as we expand to more than 100 vendors globally. The Manager also works closely with our international teams to improve processes and with our Manager of Accounting – Revenue to ensure alignment around our monthly profit margins.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the COGS team through monthly processes and review financial statements
  • Manage vendor cost analysis and monthly cost reconciliation process
  • Assist with international expansion from a cost allocation perspective
  • Collaborate with Billing and Development teams to improve processes and billing systems
  • Lead team in monthly cost reporting and margin analysis for internal stakeholders
  • Implement new systems and processes for revenue and monthly close improvement
  • Monthly ad-hoc projects and reporting

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least six (6) years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least two (2) years of management experience
  • Mix of Public/Industry experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP principles and financial statements
  • Strong Excel proficiency and experience
  • Mass data analysis experience highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with high volume transaction processing
  • Experience with NetSuite or comparable accounting software
  • Comfortable designing and implementing new financial processes and systems preferred
  • Ability to be highly organized and productive
  • Ability to proactively solve problems using critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Current license as Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a compensation range of 105,000 to 135,000, or more depending on experience.

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
