Position Summary and Core Responsibilities
Incumbent will drive Commercial Training initiatives within APJ in partnership with local business partners (Commercial Excellence, Marketing, etc), and Global teams (i.e. Sales Training, Service Training, etc). These initiatives include:
1. Collaborate with APJ Marketing to design and monitor a robust and sustainable Sales and Training Assessment Program, to onboard new sales joiners, and develop the existing sales team on product competency.
2. Collaborate with APJ Commercial Excellence Team to run system/BI training programs, ensuring our commercial teams are kept up to date on system/process changes.
3. Design and implement the future sales and service soft skill training program, ensuring our customer facing teams continue to upskill and improve their competencies.
4. Review, and propose training vendors/programs, to drive soft skills competencies. Where necessary, run refresher workshops for both sales and service teams.
Other Specific Functions or Duties
Duties include, but is not limited to, the following:
Competency Building
Keep the sales team updated on best practice sharing from other Regions, Business Areas
Plan and run training workshops when required
Support local Commercial Excellence teams to conduct training needs analysis, assess training vendors, and execute training programs
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in business (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience:
Experience leading a sales team in a capital equipment or healthcare industry
Experience as a training lead/consultant
Relevant experience in designing and executing training and assessment programs will be necessary
Other Desired Skills and Knowledge
Strong business acumen and analytical thinking
High tolerance to deal with ambiguity
Experience within a regulated environment (healthcare industry will be an advantage)
Required Certifications and Training
Certified Blue Sheet Trainer
Certified trainer for other soft skills competencies, such as DISC, COFE
Six Sigma certification will be a bonus
Experience Level with Business Tools
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient in working with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlikview, etc
Experience with Sales Operations tool such as Salesforce.com, Unity
Working Location: Singapore
