The Financial Crimes (FC) Domain brings together essential capabilities to disrupt financial crime and meet our regulatory obligations, protecting both our customers and the community.

The Financial Crime Monitoring & Screening crew creates and enhances products that help the Group Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening obligation using cutting-edge technology and harnessing the power of data, this crew is simplifying and accurately delivering on its Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening commitments.


Do work that matters

Reporting to the Crew Lead, you’ll lead a high-performing squad focused on innovating and developing advanced routines to look after the existing platforms in the platform. Also manage controls squad to look after federation of the controls skillset within the crew and support inflight delivery. You’ll play a critical role in shaping data architecture, end-to-end development, enhancing controls and simplifying processes. You’ll also be responsible for safely executing changes and meeting risk management outcomes.


In this role you will:

  • Lead the platform integrity squad: Provide lights on support for all non-prod environments, application management and access management, Service Requests and Incidents.
  • Manage Server maintenance: Collaborate with multiple squads in the crew to maintain servers - manage scheduled patching and vulnerability upgrades
  • Drive release activities: Support release train via CI CD pipelines for production deployment, own DB snapshot refreshes from production into pre-prod environments
  • New integration requests: Manage and help establish existing/new integrations across environments - firewall burns and whitelisting
  • Proactively manage product risks: Ensure compliance and manage associated risks across product streams
  • Utilise design thinking and analytics: Inform product design and continuously improve through customer insights
  • Lead day-to-day squad activities: Manage product lifecycle, prioritise the backlog, and drive OKR tracking and delivery outcomes
  • Release and iterate product prototypes: Deliver solutions that meet customer needs and achieve crew goals

 

We’re looking for a product owner with:

  • Strong platform integrity and environment management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Ability to manage and transition between Technology and Business seamlessly
  • A customer-centric approach, with proven problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking to grow the portfolio
  • Advanced commercial acumen, planning, and decision-making skills to handle competing priorities
  • A risk-focused mindset, with a commitment to identifying and addressing potential risks
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for transaction monitoring.
