Medicaid Territory Marketing Manager

Location: Kansas; Overland Park

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

The Medicaid Territory Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing community relations and sales / marketing strategies in large Medicaid Health Plans for assigned territories. Provides leadership and direction to field-based representatives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Trains and develops CR Reps for state regulatory requirements/deliverables.
  • Initiates and leads projects in response to organizational needs.
  • Develops presentations and outreach.
  • Develops and executes on marketing and community relations strategy to achieve Medicaid goals.
  • Assists in the development of reports providing productivity tracking, and progress summaries of community relations and faith-based initiatives.
  • Work cross functionally within the Health Plan to develop marketing campaigns/strategy.
  • Researches and evaluates competitive activity.
  • Supports and ensures strategy execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:  

  • Planning and leading community events/partnerships; building relationships with local organizations and stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience driving member growth and expansion is preferred.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel campaigns; using data/analytics to increase engagement is preferred.
  • Experience in securing media coverage, managing press inquiries, and drafting press releases is preferred.
  • Experience working in Kansas with demonstrated knowledge of local audiences, competitive landscape, and regional marketing channels is preferred.
  • Experience with Kansas Medicaid managed care and Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), including familiarity with relevant stakeholders, referral pathways, member engagement, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
